Kredy is a French app that formalises money loans between individuals — family, friends, relatives. In a few minutes, you create a legally valid loan contract, signed electronically by both parties, with clear tracking of due dates and repayments.
Any adult who lends to or borrows from a relative and wants to avoid misunderstandings: parents helping a child, friends fronting a bill, siblings, roommates. Kredy is not a credit institution — we don't lend money, we help you secure your personal agreements.
In the app, tap the "+" button and choose "Lend money" or "Request money". Pick a contact, enter the amount, the repayment date and any interest, then send the proposal. The other party gets a notification and can accept or decline.
Whenever a proposal is sent to you, you receive a push notification and an email. From the "Activity" tab, you can review all the terms (amount, due date, interest) and choose to accept, decline, or talk it over before responding.
No. Once the contract is signed, its terms are locked to preserve its legal value. If both parties want to change the terms (duration, schedule, amount), the cleanest way is to settle the current loan by mutual agreement and create a new one with the revised terms.
The Standard plan (free) allows up to 2 concurrent active loans. Gold and Platinum plans remove that cap: you can manage as many loans as you like, both as lender and as borrower.
The per-loan cap depends on your plan: €250 on Standard, €1,500 on Gold and €5,000 on Platinum. Beyond that, French law requires declaring the loan to the tax authorities via the Cerfa 2062 form.
Yes, provided your plan allows it. Each loan, however, remains a one-to-one relationship between a lender and a single borrower: Kredy doesn't support co-borrowers or group loans. To lend to two people, create two separate contracts.
Yes, at no cost and with no penalty. You can at any time repay all or part of the outstanding principal from the loan screen. A receipt is automatically generated and sent to both parties after every payment.
Kredy currently operates in euros only and is primarily aimed at French residents, since contracts are drafted in French and rely on the French Civil Code. Support for other currencies and multilingual contracts is on the roadmap.

Yes. Each loan automatically generates an acknowledgement of debt compliant with articles 1892 to 1914 of the French Civil Code, electronically signed by both parties. This document is enforceable and is admissible as evidence before a court.
Signatures rely on the European eIDAS regulation (EU 910/2014) and articles 1366-1367 of the French Civil Code, which give an electronic signature the same evidentiary weight as a handwritten one. Each signature is timestamped, tied to your device, and the final contract carries a SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint guaranteeing its integrity.
The contract includes the identity of the parties, the amount lent, the date and method of transfer, the duration, any interest, the repayment schedule and the legal clauses on late payment and termination. A unique reference number and a SHA-256 digital fingerprint are added at the bottom of the document.
Yes. Every transfer or repayment recorded in the app generates a cryptographically signed PDF receipt, listing the amount, date, sender and recipient. Combined with your bank statement, it forms a solid body of evidence of payment under article 1353 of the Civil Code.
Yes, within the usury rate published quarterly by the Banque de France. Setting an interest rate is reserved for the Platinum plan. Beyond that legal cap, the rate would be deemed usurious and sanctioned by law.
Seven days before the due date, an automatic reminder is sent. On the due date itself, the loan switches to "Overdue" and both parties get a notification. If late interest was provided for in the contract, it applies automatically from that date, in line with articles 1231-5 and 1344 of the Civil Code.
Kredy does not act as mediator or debt collector — the relationship stays strictly between the two parties. If talks break down, the signed contract, timestamped notifications and transfer receipts give you a solid file to present to a conciliator, the competent court or a bailiff.
Personal guarantees (surety, mortgage, pledge) aren't handled natively by Kredy. If you want to back your loan with a guarantor, you can formalise it in a separate deed and keep the Kredy contract reference as an annex.

Never. Kredy is not a payment institution and handles no funds. Money moves directly between lender and borrower, by their own means (bank transfer, cash…), outside the app. Kredy simply formalizes the loan and records the transfers and repayments you declare.
You make the transfer and repayments yourself, by your usual means (bank transfer, cash…), directly person to person. In the app, each party declares the transfer or repayment and the other confirms it: Kredy keeps a timestamped record and a receipt, without ever touching the money.
No. Kredy connects to no bank and asks for no banking credentials. The app is only there to formalize the contract and track the repayments you declare — money never goes through Kredy.
From the loan screen, tap "Repay" and enter the amount (partial or full). You then make the transfer by your usual means and declare the repayment in the app. The lender confirms it and the outstanding balance updates automatically.
Yes. You can repay any amount at any time, without having to follow a strict schedule. The app updates the outstanding principal in real time and automatically notifies the lender.
Yes. Every payment produces a timestamped PDF receipt, cryptographically signed (SHA-256 fingerprint), sent to both parties and archived in the app. You can download them at any time, for instance during a tax audit.
Until the lender confirms they received it, a declared repayment stays "Pending" and isn't counted toward the balance. If they say they didn't receive it, you're notified immediately and can sort it out or discuss it directly with them.

No, and that's by design. Kredy is a software publisher: the app doesn't lend money, handles no funds and doesn't connect strangers — it simply formalizes loans between people who already know each other. As such, it is neither a credit institution, nor a payment institution, nor a crowdfunding intermediary. That's what lets us stay simple, free for basic use, and free of needless paperwork.
No. Kredy connects to no bank and stores no banking credentials. Money never goes through the app: you handle your transfers yourself, by your usual means.
All communications are encrypted with TLS 1.3, sensitive data is encrypted at rest with AES-256, and every request from the app is signed (HMAC-SHA256) to prevent tampering. The most sensitive items (keys, tokens) are stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore — never in the app's memory.
You access your account with your email and password. For sensitive actions — in particular signing a contract — Kredy relies on your device's native security: Face ID, fingerprint or your phone's passcode, in line with the eIDAS regulation. No dedicated PIN to manage.
No. Kredy doesn't ask you to set an app-specific PIN: validating sensitive actions relies directly on your phone's native lock (Face ID, fingerprint or device passcode), handled by iOS or Android.
Your data stays inaccessible without unlocking your device (Face ID, fingerprint or passcode). Contact our support to revoke the lost device's session: all associated keys and tokens will be invalidated immediately. You can then sign back in on a new device with your email and password.
Yes. Your personal data is hosted in the European Union, is never sold to third parties, and you have at any time the right to access, rectify, port or erase it. All requests can be sent to [email protected].
From Profile > Settings > Delete my account. All active loans must be settled first. After a 30-day grace period (during which you can still change your mind), your personal data is irreversibly anonymised, while keeping the accounting records required by law.

Yes, basic use of Kredy is free. The Standard plan lets you create up to 2 concurrent loans, capped at €250 each, with no interest. The paid Gold and Platinum plans extend those limits and unlock advanced features.
Gold (€5.90/month or €49.90/year) removes the cap on the number of loans and raises the per-loan limit to €1,500. Platinum (€11.90/month or €99.90/year) raises the cap to €5,000, allows charging interest up to 10%, and unlocks SMS reminders and the enriched trust score.
From Profile > Subscription, pick the plan you want. Upgrading is immediate and prorated; downgrading takes effect at the end of the current period so your active loans aren't disrupted.
Yes, with no commitment. You cancel directly from your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) settings. You keep the benefits of your plan until the end of the period already paid for.
Yes, by default, to avoid an interruption in the middle of an active loan. You can disable auto-renewal at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings.
They are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store). Kredy never has access to your card details: we only receive an encrypted confirmation that your subscription is active.

In France, any loan between individuals exceeding €5,000 in a calendar year must be declared to the tax authorities via the Cerfa 2062 form, attached to the income tax return. Below that threshold, no declaration is required, though a written contract is still recommended for legal safety.
It is the official declaration of a loan contract to the French tax authorities. It must be completed by the lender (or the borrower, at your choice) at the time of the annual income tax return, as soon as the total lent to the same person exceeds €5,000 in the year. Kredy automatically reminds you before signature when the threshold is crossed.
Yes. Interest received on a loan between individuals counts as investment income and must be declared under the interest category (form 2042, box 2TR by default). It is subject to the flat-rate tax (30%) unless you opt for the progressive income tax scale.
No. Kredy does not transmit any information to the tax authorities. Declaring is entirely your responsibility. To help, the app provides an annual summary of your loans and interest that you can use when filing your tax return.
Yes, if the tax authorities consider there was no real intention to repay (no contract, no schedule, no proof of transfer). Having a Kredy contract signed electronically, with a clear schedule and archived transfer receipts, is the best protection against such reclassification.
